Job summary

Merchants Distributors, LLC (MDI) is hiring Tractor-Trailer Drivers for our Distribution Center in Hickory, NC. You will deliver goods, review orders, and assist with unloading while delivering exceptional service to our customers.

Qualified candidates have a CDL Class A, a clean MVR, and either 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience or CDL school graduation. Excellent communication and basic computer skills are required; you must be able to work up to 6 days a week, including holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with an active CDL class A.
• Clean MVR with no more than 2 tickets and no at-fault DOT accidents in the prior 3 years.
• 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience or graduation from an accredited Class A CDL school.
• Must pass all required testing (MVR, criminal, drug, DOT physical, job simulation).
• Must have basic computer skills and maintain a professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver goods on time to customers and review orders prior to delivery.
• Assist with unloading trucks and provide exceptional customer service.
• Drive routes covering PA, OH, MD, KY, WV, VA, TN, NC, SC, GA, FL.
• Adhere to safety policies and maintain a neat, professional appearance.
• Work an open schedule up to 6 days a week and on holidays.

Responsibilities

Drivers are responsible for ensuring timely delivery of goods to customers, reviewing orders prior to delivery, assisting with the unloading of trucks and providing exceptional customer service to our clients. Deliveries cover PA, OH, MD, KY, WV, VA, TN, NC, SC, GA, FL

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age with an active CDL class A.
• Must have a clean MVR with no more than 2 tickets and no at fault DOT accidents in the previous 3 years.
• Required 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience pulling 45-53 ft. trailers or have graduated from an accredited Class A CDL truck driving school
• Must pass all necessary testing for employment (MVR, criminal, drug, dot physical, job simulation test)

Other qualifications:

Must have basic computer skills, excellent communication skills, ability to interact well with supervision and co-workers, a self-starter with good organizational skills, and maintain a professional appearance.

Drivers are required to safely assist in unloading pallets using a pallet jack (manual and electric) also at some locations drivers may handle casesup to 100lbs.

Must be able to work an open schedule up to 6 days a week and Holidays.

Must be able to complete a proper pre trip inspection and pass an onsite backing test.
