Job summary

Capitol Materials Coastal, Inc. - Summerville is seeking a delivery driver to safely operate a commercial vehicle and deliver building materials while delivering a high level of customer service in Summerville, SC.

The role requires a valid CDL, DOT compliance knowledge, and the ability to lift heavy materials and work both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, loading/unloading, and maintaining regulatory records.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must have a valid CDL with appropriate class rating.
• Class B with Class A preferred; clean MVR for 3 years.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
• Strong customer-service mindset and professional communication.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with inclusive attitude.
• Self-management, initiative, and reliability in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and communicate clearly with peers and customers.

Responsibilities

• Inspect truck/trailer for defects and ensure safe operation.
• Safely load/unload materials onto flatbed or boom truck; deliver to job sites.
• Maintain compliance records per State and Federal regulations.
• Report accidents and handle lifting of materials up to 100+ lbs.
• Provide world-class customer service while delivering materials.
