Job summary

Associated Grocers is seeking a CDL-A Driver based in our Bangor, ME depot. The role requires a CDL-A license (no automatic restriction) with unloading experience and prefer 2 years of CDL-A driving. Expect shifts around 10–11 hours, start times between 1am and 5am, and deliveries across six New England states with 3–4 stops daily.

Trucks are Freightliner tractors with reefers of various lengths. Unloading is required at each stop, with a mix of pallet, dock/liftgate, two-wheeler, and roller

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• CDL-A license without restrictions.
• 2 years CDL-A driving experience preferred.
• DOT certified.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record.
• Unloading experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload at each stop.
• Deliver to six New England states with 3–4 stops per day.
• Typical shift 10–11 hours with 1am–5am start times.
• Operate Freightliner tractors with reefers of 36'–53' trailers.
• Deliver pallet, dock/liftgate, two-wheeler, and roller loads.

The following CDL-A Driver job requires a current CDL-A License without an automatic restriction (preferred), and at least 2 years of experience driving and unloading trucks. Hours must be flexible including nights, weekends and holidays. Based out of our Bangor Maine Depot.

About Our Class‑A CDL Driver Opportunity:

• Typical Shift: 10-11 hours with start times between 1am-5am.
• Average Miles: 300 miles per trip.
• Fleet is made up of freightliner tractors.
• All trailers are reefers sized: 36', 45', 48', 53'.
• Deliveries throughout all six New England states.
• Deliveries range between 3-4 stops per day.
• Unloading is required at each stop.
• Varying types of deliveries: Pallet deliveries with docks/liftgates, two‑wheeler deliveries, roller deliveries.
