Job summary

FCC Environmental Services, LLC is seeking a dedicated Driver to safely operate a commercial vehicle and deliver prompt collection services. The role requires pre- and post-trip inspections, adherence to DOT regulations, and courteous interaction with customers and dispatchers.

You will drive on routes through urban and residential areas, reporting accurately and maintaining vehicle readiness. FCC offers a comprehensive benefits package and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Garbage/recycling experience preferred.
• Must meet all qualifications as defined under Department of Transportation regulations.
• Class B commercial driver’s license is required.
• Ability to lift or carry heavy objects as necessary.
• Clearinghouse profile required.

Responsibilities

• Completes a pre- and post-operation check of a commercial vehicle to verify tire pressure, fluid levels, safety devices, gauges and other components.
• Ensure commercial vehicles are safely operated on allocated routes including roads, residential areas, and alleys.
• Operate controls and joystick equipment in compliance with FCC safety regulations.
• Engage courteously with co-workers, dispatchers and customers to ensure timely and professional service.
• Continuously monitors vehicle status to maintain readiness and reduce downtime.
• Completes necessary paperwork and reports accurately.
• Maintains productivity standards to service clients on time.
• Follow and enforce all safety regulations and procedures.

Position Summary:

The driver's position is responsible for safely operating a commercial motor vehicle and providing prompt and complete collection services.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Completes a pre- and post-operation check of a commercial vehicle in line with FCC regulations to verify tire pressure, fluid levels, safety devices, gauges, and other components are in correct operating condition.
• Ensure commercial vehicles are safely operated on allocated routes that encompass roads, residential neighborhoods, and alleys.
• Ability to manually and/or automatically operate controls and joystick equipment in compliance with the FCC's safety regulations and procedures.
• Engage courteously with co-workers, dispatchers, and customers to ensure that all services are performed in a timely and professional way.
• Continuously monitors the vehicle's status to ensure it remains operationally ready in order to reduce downtime.
• Completes necessary paperwork and other reports accurately.
• Maintains departmental productivity standards to ensure all clients are serviced in a timely and effective way.
• Follows and enforces all safety regulations and procedures.

Education:

High School diploma or GED

Experience and Competencies:

• Garbage/Recycling experience preferred
• Class B commercial driver’s license
