Job summary

FCC Environmental Services is seeking a dedicated driver to perform pre- and post-trip checks on commercial vehicles, ensuring safe operation on varied routes through urban and residential areas. You will interact with dispatchers and customers to deliver timely service and maintain equipment readiness.

Candidates should hold a Class B CDL, have garbage/recycling experience, and be able to lift heavy objects.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Garbage/Recycling experience preferred.
• CDL Class B required.
• Ability to lift or carry heavy objects.
• Must meet all qualifications as defined under DOT regulations.
• Clearinghouse profile required.
• FCC is a drug-free workplace with mandatory substance abuse testing.

Responsibilities

• Completes pre- and post-operation checks of a commercial vehicle per FCC regulations.
• Operates vehicles on assigned routes including roads, neighborhoods, and alleys.
• Uses controls/joystick in compliance with safety regulations.
• Engages with co-workers, dispatchers, and customers to perform services timely and professionally.
• Monitors vehicle status to minimize downtime and keeps paperwork up to date.
• Maintains productivity standards and adheres to safety procedures.
• Follows safety regulations and company procedures.

It's fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they're doing!We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Completes a pre- and post-operation check of a commercial vehicle in line with FCC regulations to verify tire pressure, fluid levels, safety devices, gauges, and other components are in correct operating condition.Ensure commercial vehicles are safely operated on allocated routes that encompass roads, residential neighborhoods, and alleys.Ability to manually and/or automatically operate controls and joystick equipment in compliance with the FCC's safety regulations and procedures.Engage courteously with co-workers, dispatchers, and customers to ensure that all services are performed in a timely and professional way.Continuously monitors the vehicle's status to ensure it remains operationally ready in order to reduce downtime.Completes necessary paperwork and other reports accurately.Maintains departmental productivity standards to ensure all clients are serviced in a timely and effective way.Follows and enforces all safety regulations and procedures.Education:High School diploma or GEDExperience and Competencies:Garbage/Recycling experience preferredClass B commercial driver’s licenseAbility to lift or carry heavy objects as necessaryMust meet all qualifications as defined under Department of Transportation regulationsClearinghouse profile requiredFCC is a drug-free workplace.
