Job summary

Cowlitz Clean Sweep (CCS) a Pacific Northern Environmental LLC division, is seeking a CDL A Driver who thrives in a fast-paced, team environment and can provide exceptional service to our company, clients and employees. CCS transports hazmat or other materials from job sites to disposal locations, with hands-on work alongside the field team.

The CDL Class A Driver role requires operating a vacuum truck, maintaining safety, and completing required DOT inspections, with opportunities for growth

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and eligibility per company insurance
• High school Diploma or GED is required
• 18 years of age or older
• Must possess a valid Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement
• Hazmat Endorsement preferred but not required
• 2–3 years’ experience driving DOT regulated vehicles is required
• Hazmat materials driving experience is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Operate vacuum truck and engage/reposition vacuum hoses as required
• Safely operate and maintain company vehicles and comply with traffic laws and policies
• Drive in accordance with dispatch instructions and safety policies
• Complete DOT pre- and post-trip inspections and paperwork
• Load/unload drums with a lift gate as needed and drive to destinations
• Secure loads and ensure safety prior to operation
• Report accidents or injuries and complete required forms
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Summary

Cowlitz Clean Sweep (CCS) a Pacific Northern Environmental LLC division, is seeking a CDL A Driver Job Title who thrives in a fast-paced, team environment and has the ability to provide exceptional service and skills to our company, clients, and employees.

Pacific Northern Environmental, LLC consists of six divisions; Advanced Electrical Technologies (AET), Taurus Power and Controls (TTPC), Tauras Power Services (TPS) Cowlitz Clean Sweep (CCS), Pacific Northern Environmental Construction (PNEC), and WasteXpress Environmental (WXE). Together, we specialize in commercial and petroleum construction, industrial and commercial electrical, industrial cleaning, and hazardous waste disposal. PNE LLC is a multi-state organization with operating offices in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Hawaii. In addition, we have multiple job sites across the US.

CCS provides industrial cleaning and spill response to almost every pulp and paper mill in the Pacific Northwest. We also service major oil companies and a wide range of manufacturing and industrial clients. CCS has demonstrated its ability to complete large and complex industrial cleaning challenges on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with the most stringent industrial health & safety programs. No industrial cleaning job is too large or too small for CCS.

The CDL Class A Driver is responsible for safely transporting hazmat or other materials from the job sites to safe disposal locations. Hands‑on work with the field team is required for this position.

Education and Experience Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is required and must meet eligibility requirements to be covered under the company’s vehicle insurance policy.
• High school Diploma or GED
• 18 years of age or older
• Must possess a valid Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement required.
• Hazmat Endorsement is preferred but not required.
• 2-3 years’ experience driving DOT regulated vehicles is required.
• Experience driving Hazmat materials strongly preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operator truck controls to engage, move, and reposition vacuum hoses as necessary when operating a vacuum truck.
• Safely operate and maintain company vehicles as required for job duties, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and company policies
• Drive in accordance with all company safety policies and within all laws, rules, and regulations.
• Complete DOT required pre and post trip inspections, completing any required paperwork as needed.
• Operate box van carrying drums with a lift gate to pick up and/or deliver drums at a specific destination.
• Operate truck in accordance with instructions received from dispatch or the supervisor each day.
• Loads, unloads, and sets up vacuum hoses at job site when operating the vacuum truck.
• Report all accidents and injuries and completes an accident report form when necessary.
• Ensures all loads are properly secured prior to driving and maintains safety while driving.
• Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

• Move about the jobsite as needed.
• Move work related equipment up to 50lbs.
• Remain in a stationary position for long periods of time.
• Operate various technological devices, including but not limited to a computer.
• Operate machinery in compliance with all safety procedures.
• Occasionally ascend/descend ladders and/or stairs.
• Must be clean‑shaven to achieve a proper respirator seal in accordance with PNE‑CCS company policy.
