Position Summary

A Driver - CDL (B) is responsible for safely operating a collection truck, providing prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal services for customers. The driver must ensure vehicle compliance with safety standards, adhere to all regulations, and complete daily vehicle condition reports to address any defects.

Principal Responsibilities

1. Perform vehicle inspections before and after shifts, reporting safety issues.
2. Safely operate the truck along designated routes, following maps and route sheets.
3. Operate controls to lift, load, and dispose of waste according to safety policies.
4. Interact courteously with customers and dispatchers to ensure timely service.
5. Identify and tag unsatisfactory waste containers.
6. Monitor waste for unacceptable materials and manage spills safely.
7. Maintain vehicle readiness, cleaning waste from equipment as needed.
8. Complete route and productivity reports accurately.
9. Adhere to safety policies and participate in safety programs.
10. Perform additional duties as assigned, demonstrating professionalism and time management.

Minimum Requirements

• Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s License with air brakes endorsement.
