Job summary

ATC Drivetrain in Oklahoma City is seeking a 2nd shift local delivery driver to transport products and materials by truck. You will load, unload, inspect, and verify deliveries to customers, and maintain logs per DOT regulations.

Requires a valid Oklahoma CDL and the ability to operate a forklift. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and adherence to MMOG/ISO standards with occasional Saturday overtime as needed.

Job description

2nd Shift - 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm Monday through Fridays. Saturdays for OT as needed. You will work 2 hours on the dock and then be 6 hours in the truck. These are local runs, no OTR.

Summary

Drives gasoline or diesel-powered tractor trailer combination or other truck to transport and deliver products or materials in loose or packaged form by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drives truck to destination.
• Inspects truck for defects before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition.
• Maintains driver log according to DOT and I.C.C. regulations.
• Assists workers in loading and unloading truck.
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
• Practice the highest level of responsibility and safety.
• Drives vehicle to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment.
• Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product while continuously striving for improvement in all materials processes.
• Operates forklift.
• Clean and perform operator maintenance on assigned equipment and responsible for maintaining a quality work environment including good housekeeping (i.e. 5S).
• Responsible for development and adherence to the policies, procedures and instructions of the MMOG and ISO 14001 systems.
• Regular and reliable attendance.

EXPERIENCE And/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
