Job summary

Newly Weds Foods in Illinois is seeking a CDL Driver to support shipping and receiving operations. You will transfer raw and finished goods between plant and warehouse facilities, drive a 53-foot truck, complete delivery documentation, and maintain safety records.

Job description

The CDL Driver performs functions directly toward successfully and efficiently meeting shipping goals for customers order by performing all required shipping and receiving functions.

Essential Functions

Will work as a valued member of our shipping and receiving operations. Good safety and attendance records required.

Transports raw/finished product between our plant and warehouse facilities (less than 3 miles each way).

Ability to drive 53-foot TT/ 10 speed unit.

Prepares, receives and provides appropriate documentation for the delivery of our pick up of goods between facilities. Loads, secures and unloads cargo as assigned.

Will work in either warehouse in between truck runs. General warehouse 60% and delivery 40% of daily work. Position requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, climb, squat, kneel, twist and turn as required by daily work/ all capabilities to successfully operate controls and machinery. Must be able to move or lift excess of 50 pounds.

Requires forklift and RF scanning experience. Ability to operate and maintain equipment in safe manner at all times.

Must insure all products are properly coded.

Must be able ro complete all required logs, complete shipping and receiving paperwork, and perform monthly inventory without assistance.

Assist setup in pulling ingredients or loading blending platforms when there are no other duties that must be done.

Must be able to multi-task

Qualifications

Must have a minimum of 2 years CDL experience

Computer literate/ RF scanning experienced or able to train

Detailed oriented for documentation and computer input
