CDL Driver - 10 Wheel Dump and End Dump

2401 S. Broadway Ave. Moore, OK 73160, USA - *Full-Time

Silver Star Construction, a local road construction company, is seeking a Class A Dump Truck Driver. Job description entails transporting materials like dirt, gravel, sand, asphalt, dust from one place to another. Home every night.

Responsibilities:

• Climbs on and off truck body during loading, unloading, and tie-down procedures.
• Inspects truck equipment with pre-trip and post-trip walkaround inspection.
• Maintains and follows truck maintenance schedule.
• Work in a variety of weather conditions.
• May assist with snow removal duties, (i.e. plow and salt/sand roads).
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Dump Truck Driver Skills:

• Good hand-eye coordination, hearing ability, and physical health.
• Communication - Drivers work in a collaborative environment at times, which requires strong verbal communication skills.
• Time-management - Drivers use time-management skills to perform many tasks within a tight deadline to get material delivered on time in a safe manner.
• Following safety regulations.
• Understanding the vehicle.
• Braking and turning.
• Dumping the load.
• Proper loading.

Qualifications:

• Sit for long periods of time.
• Must have CDL A (at least 2 yrs required w/ verifiable DOT experience).
• Must have a good driving record (2 points or less).
• Must meet all Federal DOT Requirements.
• Pre and post trip inspections.
• Must be able to work nights and weekends when necessary.
• Must be able to work overtime when required.
