Job summary

Marion County Paving in Arkansas is seeking a full-time Driver/Delivery with CDL to move equipment and materials across job sites. You will perform pre-trip inspections, load/unload, secure loads, and maintain logs.

Qualifications

• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Drive truck and trailer safely between locations and follow dispatch instructions.
• Load and unload the trailer and secure loads for transit.
• Monitor gauges and report abnormal operation or needs for maintenance.
• Maintain operator logs, time cards, and mileage records accurately.
• Occasionally complete out-of-town deliveries or pickups.

Primary Responsibilities

Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to confirm the vehicle’s safe operatingcondition, andpromptly report any maintenance or repair needs.

Safely drive truck and trailer to move equipment between locations, strictly adhering to all transportation laws, safety regulations, and dispatch instructions.

Operate equipment as needed to load and unload the trailer at each destination.

Secure loads to the trailer using chains and binders, ensuring all cargo is properly restrained for transit.

Monitor vehicle gauges throughout operation, investigate any irregularities, and document issues orrequiredrepairs for maintenance staff.

Identifyand report abnormal operations, equipment failures, defective materials, or hazardous conditions to shop personnel.

Perform minor field repairs and regular operator maintenance, such as adjusting mirrors or replacing mud flaps, to keep the vehicle inoptimalcondition.

Transport materials and equipment as necessary for job completion, or as directed by supervisors.

Keep the vehicle clean and well-organized inside and out, following all prescribed safety rules and company policies.

Maintainaccurateand up-to-date operator logs,time cards, mileage sheets, repair records, and any required documentation in compliance with company and departmental standards.

Occasionallyperformout-of-town deliveries or equipment pick-ups as needed.

Qualifications

To excel in this position, candidates mustdemonstratethe ability to effectively and safely execute all key responsibilities listed above.

Knowledge and Skills

Proficiencywith machines, tools, and equipment relevant to the role, including lowboy trucks, trailers, chains, binders, and heavy equipment.

• Frequently required to climb, balance, and perform tasks involvingphysicalagility.
• Regularly sit, climb, and use hand signals or equipment; occasionally stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, or reach above shoulder height.
• Lift and move objects weighing up to 25-50 lbs. as needed.
• Workprimarily outdoors, often in extreme weather andenvironmental conditions.
• Comfortableworking in all weather conditions; exposed to jobsite hazards such as moving machinery, high places, airborne particles, and loudenvironments.
• Must have specific vision abilities, including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, tooperateequipment safely.
• Reasonable accommodations provided as necessary to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
