Job summary

Hunting in Williston, ND seeks a CDL driver responsible for loading, securing freight, and maintaining the company vehicle with DOT compliance and accurate recordkeeping.

The role requires on-site presence, 24-hour call readiness, occasional long-distance Hotshot runs, and professional representation of the company. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and at least two years in the oilfield transport industry. E-Log familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

  • CDL with Hazmat endorsement and clean driving record required.
  • Familiarity with oilfield operations and safety procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Load, unload and secure freight as required.
  • Record shipment weight accurately and maintain records.
  • Maintain company vehicle, security and cleanliness.
  • Ensure the vehicle has current inspections and DOT compliance.
  • Perform occasional long-distance Hotshot runs or local deliveries.
  • Coordinate with Shipping & Receiving for all deliveries and pickups.
  • Represent the company professionally at all times.
  • Work on a 24-hour call basis as needed.
  • Follow Quality Policy, procedures and workplace instructions.
  • On-site presence and regular attendance are essential.
  • Prioritize safety and carry out tasks to a high quality.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job description

  • Responsible for ensuring the company vehicle has current and proper inspections.
  • Will achieve and maintain compliance with all DOT regulations and requirements.

  • Will be both courteous and defensive, while operating Company vehicle.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Education and Training
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Minimum two (2) years of relative industry experience.
  • General Requirements
  • Knowledge of Oilfield operations is a plus.
  • Must be familiar with terminology used in and around the industry.
  • Must not have any personal or legal domestic or international travel restrictions.
  • Be self-motivated and have excellent organizational, customer service, and planning skills.
  • Possess strong communication skills.
  • Discretion with sensitive financial, customer, and other business related information.
  • Technical Requirements / Skills
  • Experience with flat bed trailer is required.
  • Must possess excellent telephone skills.
  • Must possess excellent written / verbal communication and customer service skills.
  • Maintain professional appearance, attitude, and behavior.
  • Manage and work with people in a harmonious way to accomplish the tasks assigned to this position.
  • Able to learn and become proficient with software used for maintaining E-Log.
  • Certificates, Licenses & Registrations
  • Must have and maintain a CDL-A or CDL-B with Hazmat is required. A clear driving record that conforms to company’s insurance policies, ATF, DOT and State or other required Hazmat training.
  • Work Authorization / Security Clearance:
  • Able to meet ATF & regulatory security requirements.
  • Must be US citizen, or lawful permanent resident of the United States (student Visa does not qualify), in accordance with ATF regulations.
  • Must not have any personal or legal domestic travel restrictions.
