Job summary

Brookdale is seeking a bus driver to transport residents to activities and appointments, ensuring safety and comfort on every trip. A valid CDL Class C and clean driving record are required, with CPR training often expected.

Prior experience serving seniors is preferred, and a high school diploma or GED is needed to qualify for this role. The position emphasizes responsible vehicle operation, adherence to safety procedures, and performing routine vehicle maintenance to support reliable transport

Qualifications

Base pay in range will be determined by applicant’s skills and experience. Temporary associates are not benefits eligible but may participate in the company’s 401(k) program.

Responsibilities

• Under close supervision, drives a large capacity passenger bus to transport residents to activities, errands, and destinations.
• Properly operates bus and ensures the safety of all passengers.
• Responsible for general maintenance of the vehicle.
• High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) is required.
• Minimum of one year successful experience operating a bus is required.
• Prior experience working with seniors preferred.
• Must have a valid state driver’s license with a good driving record. CPR training and certification may be required.
• Current Class C CDL with no major driving violations for the past three (3) years. Current certification from Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction on bus driver training preferred. CPR training and certification may be required.
