Job summary

Brookdale is hiring a bus driver to transport residents to activities and appointments. Under supervision, you will operate a large-capacity bus, ensure passenger safety, and perform basic vehicle maintenance. A valid CDL, clean driving record, and high school diploma or GED are required; CPR may be needed and OSPI bus driver training is preferred.

• Valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
• CPR certification may be required.
• Current Class C CDL with no major violations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a large capacity passenger bus under supervision.
• Ensure passenger safety and proper operation of the bus.
• Perform general vehicle maintenance as needed.
• Work with seniors; prior experience is preferred.
• Maintain safe driving record and comply with regulations.
• Assist with scheduling and routes as needed.

Base pay in range will be determined by applicant’s skills and experience. Temporary associates are not benefits eligible but may participate in the company’s 401(k) program.

Responsibilities

• Under close supervision, drives a large capacity passenger bus to transport residents to activities, errands, and destinations.
• Properly operates bus and ensures the safety of all passengers.
• Responsible for general maintenance of the vehicle.
• High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) is required.
• Minimum of one year successful experience operating a bus is required.
• Prior experience working with seniors preferred.
• Must have a valid state driver’s license with a good driving record. CPR training and certification may be required.
• Current Class C CDL with no major driving violations for the past three (3) years. Current certification from Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction on bus driver training preferred. CPR training and certification may be required.
