Job summary

Harris seeks a CDL Driver to safely operate 18-wheel tractor-trailers for local deliveries of construction materials to job sites and vendors. You will load and secure loads, perform pre/post-trip inspections, and coordinate with project teams to maintain delivery schedules.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of commercial driving experience, a valid Class A CDL, strong knowledge of DOT regulations, and a safety-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of commercial driving experience, on road and off road, preferably in construction or logistics.
• 10+ years hauling flatbeds and dry vans under varying load conditions.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, weight limits, and cargo securement requirements.
• Reliable, safety-conscious and self-motivated with excellent communication skills.

Job Description

The CDL Driver is responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport and deliver construction materials to various project locations in a timely and professional manner. This role ensures accurate order delivery, adherence to DOT regulations, and provides exceptional customer service during each delivery.

Materials Delivery

• Operate 18-wheel tractor-trailers (dry van and flatbed) for local deliveries between the warehouse, job sites, and vendors.


• Safely load, secure, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment in compliance with DOT regulations.


• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles and trailers.


• Coordinate with warehouse staff, project managers, and field teams to support material delivery schedules.


• Assist with occasional rigging, load tie-downs, and equipment handling as required.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and state/federal transportation laws.

What We're Looking For In You

• 10+ years of commercial driving experience, in various terrains - on road and off road. (preferably in construction, logistics, or material supply industries)


• 10+ years of experience hauling flatbeds and dry vans under varying load conditions, including active construction project sites.


• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, weight limits, and cargo securement requirements.


• Reliable, safety-conscious, and self-motivated with excellent communication skills.


• Valid Class A CDL license required.


• Chauffer license preferred.

Pay Range

$33.39 - $50.08
