Job summary

A leading mechanical contractor is seeking an experienced driver based in Louisiana to operate 18-wheel tractor-trailers for local deliveries. The role requires at least 10 years of commercial driving experience, particularly in construction or logistics, and a valid Class A CDL license. Qualifications

• Operate 18‑wheel tractor‑trailers (dry van and flatbed) for local deliveries between the warehouse, job sites, and vendors.
• Safely load, secure, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Conduct thorough pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections on vehicles and trailers.
• Coordinate with warehouse staff, project managers, and field teams to support material delivery schedules.
• Assist with occasional rigging, load tie‑downs, and equipment handling as required.

Compliance

• Maintain accurate delivery logs, trip records, and inspection reports.
• Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and state/federal transportation laws.

What we're looking for in you

• 10+ years of commercial driving experience, in various terrains – on road and off road. (preferably in construction, logistics, or material supply industries)
• 10+ years of experience hauling flatbeds and dry vans under varying load conditions, including active construction project sites.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, weight limits, and cargo securement requirements.
• Reliable, safety‑conscious, and self‑motivated with excellent communication skills.
• Valid Class A CDL license required.
