Job summary

Dufrene Building Materials Inc in Pensacola, FL, seeks an experienced CDL Driver with navigator and Moffit experience to deliver lumber, building materials, millworks and other merchandise to customers and company locations.

This role requires route planning, loading, timely deliveries with signatures, daily mileage logs, vehicle maintenance reporting, and occasional warehouse duties. Competitive pay and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Plan and complete efficient delivery routes for the day.
• Load delivery vehicle with parcels scheduled for delivery.

• Maintain basic truck mileage and delivery records.
• Report maintenance needs and vehicle issues to supervisor.
• Assist with warehouse duties once routes are completed.

Job description

We are looking for an Experienced CDL Driver with Navigator and Moffit Experience for our new Warehouse. Drivers will delivery lumber, building materials, millworks and other merchandise to customers site and our other locations.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

• Plans and completes an efficient delivery and pick up route for the day.
• Loads delivery vehicle with parcels scheduled for delivery.
• Delivers parcels to correct addresses, obtaining signatures and proof of receipt when necessary.
• Picks up parcels along the scheduled route, including items to be returned, company orders, and other items as requested.
• Maintains basic records of truck mileage and deliveries made.
• Ensures that delivery vehicle receives basic service according to maintenance schedule; reports larger service needs and mechanical issues to supervisor.
• Assists in general warehouse duties when delivery route is completed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Must maintain an active CDL license and Medical Card
• Ability to drive safely.
• Ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps.
• Ability to plan delivery routes.
• Ability to maintain basic logs and records.
• Ability to carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision.
• Able to remain professional and courteous at all times.

Education and Experience:

• Valid CDL driver’s license, current medical card and clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Must be able to load and unload packages with and without dollies in various types of weather.
