Job summary

APAC-Atlantic, a CRH Company, is seeking a Driver/Delivery-CDL to operate a tractor-trailer or multi-axle vehicle in coastal Georgia. You will load/unload, perform daily inspections, and adhere to DOT regulations.

The role requires a valid CDL (Class A or B with endorsements), a clean driving record, and the ability to work independently with a strong work ethic. Minimum high school diploma or GED and 3 years of construction-related experience preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform daily pre/post trip inspections with proper documentation per DOT guidelines.
• Obey all applicable laws and dispatch instructions.
• Maneuver trucks into loading/unloading positions and assist with unloading as required.
• Maintain a clean, orderly vehicle and equipment.
• Keep logs of working hours and vehicle status per regulations.
• Inventory and inspect goods for quantity and condition.
• Complete, store, and submit all necessary documentation.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, or violations promptly.

Position Overview

This position involves daily operation and driving of a tractor-trailer combination or a single, double or tri-axel vehicle. Driver will be responsible to load and unload the truck. Requires commercial drivers' license. Under direction of the Driver Manager by performing the following duties.

Primary Function

• Perform daily pre/post trip inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with DOT guidelines and company policies
• Obey applicable laws and follow dispatch instructions
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned. Depending on materials hauled, may require unloading of contents by hand or shovel
• Must keep truck in a clean and orderly condition
• Maintain logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations.
• Inventory and inspect goods to be moved to determine quantities and conditions.
• Completing, storing, and submitting all necessary documentation.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.

Other requierments

• Ability to obtain DOT Medical Card through Company.
• Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times.
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and / or MSHA.
• Maintain current driver’s license that meets state requirement i.e. CDL, Class A and/or B, and if any endorsements.
• Have a MVR that meets company standards.
• Be able to work independently, safely, have strong organization skills, and have a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Minimum of three (3) years previous related experience in construction field preferred
