Job summary

Winland Foods is seeking a CDL Driver to join our Warehouse team in North East, PA. You will safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with DOT safety rules.

The schedule is Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM, with compensation at $28.65 per hour plus shift differential. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, life coverage, and more.

Experience with SAP and warehouse systems is valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; forklift and CDL basics are a plus.
• Experience operating forklifts, box trucks, and SAP inventory systems.
• Willingness to obtain required certifications (forklift, SAP, etc.).
• 18+ years of age; knowledge of GMP, SQF, HACCP, FSMA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, wrapping machines and related equipment.
• Perform equipment inspections and maintain accurate documentation.
• Follow DOT safety regulations and manage inbound/outbound shipments.
• Oversee FIFO inventory control and tag, store and rotate materials.
• Conduct counts, monitor usage, and assist procurement and space management.
• Lead SOP development, training, and shift meetings; mentor teammates.
• Use SAP and other systems for inventory transfers and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, wrapping machines, and other related equipment.
• Perform inspections on all equipment and maintain accurate documentation.
• Follow Department of Transportation (DOT) and safety regulations when applicable.
• Oversee FIFO inventory control, manage inbound/outbound shipments, and accurately tag, store and rotate raw materials and finished goods.
• Conduct inventory counts, monitor material usage, assist with procurement and space management.
• Evaluate, modify, and design warehouse policies and procedures to maintain food safety, quality and integrity.
• Safely operate yard tractors and commercial vehicles (ClassA CDL may be required).
• Perform inspections and routine maintenance on additional equipment.
• Handle recyclable materials according to plant processes and deliver daily parcel shipments.
• Communicate warehouse status (percent utilization, inventory levels, upcoming product expirations) to other teams.
• Maintain cleanliness in assigned areas and an audit‑ready work environment.
• Provide back‑up support in the department lead’s absence and mentor team members.
• Assist in SOP development and training, coordinate team activities, lead shift meetings, and train others in advanced operations.
• Use computer systems (e.g., SAP) for inventory transfers and reporting; participate in improvement projects and 5S efforts.
• Act as a 5S champion for area and lead improvement projects.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; additional certifications (forklift, ClassA CDL with tanker endorsement) a plus.
• Experience operating equipment such as forklifts, box trucks, and SAP inventory management systems.
• Willingness to obtain required certifications (forklift, SAP, Train the Trainer, etc.).
• 18+years of age.
• Knowledge of GMP, SQF, HACCP, FSMA and related food safety regulations.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs., push heavy loads, stand/walk up to 90% of shift, and climb as needed.
• Proficiency in SAP, hand scanners and basic math skills; advanced levels require proficiency in MII, WE systems.
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Strong communication skills in English, written and verbal; ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Positive attitude, dependable, self‑motivated, willing to work overtime or weekends as needed.

Physical Demands

Stand, walk, climb, pull, push, carry, grasp, reach, twist, turn, stoop; lift up to 50lbs. Regular use of PPE; full visual acuity, hearing, color perception, hand/arm movement.
