Job Location: Loving, NM 88256
Are you a seasoned CDL Driver with firm dedication? Have you ever been called predictable or set in your ways? Do you prefer to play it safe and avoid risks? Do you possess a high degree of patience?
The CDL Driver hauls and delivers company-owned equipment to various locations. This may include generators, bubble towers, electrical panels, and other heavy equipment. The role requires a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) and a diligent safety-first attitude.
Responsibilities
- Maintain proper CDL licensing, state required documentation, medical DOT health card
- Operate within all state and federal DOT rules and regulations, including but not limited to Hours of Service and use of Electronic Logging Device
- Complete vehicle pre-trips, inter-trips, post-trips and maintenance as required
- Maintain fit‑for‑duty status for each shift
- Safely pre‑trip, connect, maneuver, disconnect, and secure all required trailers
- Ensure that trailers have the proper license plates and annual inspections
- Complete documented safety analysis by task and wear all required PPE on duty
- Safely perform tire changes as needed
- Demonstrate and maintain physical conditioning to operate trailer jacks, connect trailers, change spare tires, and other physically demanding Operations functions
- Perform all assigned tasks in a safe and efficient manner
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers
- Properly completing, storing, and submitting all necessary documentation (BOL’s and delivery tickets).
- Maintain a Safety‑first culture that always ensures the protection and safety of Baseline employees and customers. This can include but is not limited to; attending customer safety meetings, auditing field safety practices, frequently verifying that all work meets Baseline and customer standards, etc.
- Conduct work in accordance with company, customer, and industry safety standards to maintain an accident‑free workplace
- May require night and weekend work. In addition, you may be required to stay overnight in hotels if travel is required for your work.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Holds Class A License
- Must have previous driving experience with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Sitting for long periods of time
- Ability to drive and work safely, irrespective of the weather or time of day
- Comply with all safe work practices, policies, and processes at all times
