Job summary

Koopman Lumber is seeking an experienced CDL Truck Driver (Class A or B) to deliver lumber and building materials to residential and commercial jobsites in Hudson, MA. This is a hands-on role requiring loading/unloading, material handling, and outdoor work in all seasons.

You will communicate with dispatch via mobile devices, complete logs and delivery paperwork, and represent the company professionally at customer sites. Must be able to lift heavy loads and work safely.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A or B license.
• Hoisting license preferred.
• Experience operating Moffett and forklifts is strongly preferred.
• Comfortable working outdoors year-round in all weather conditions.
• Strong safety, accuracy and customer service mindset.
• Proficient with smartphones/tablets for routing and communication.

Responsibilities

CDL Truck Driver (Class A or B) – Lumber & Building Materials

Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Hudson, MA
Reports To: Store Manager / Dispatch

Koopman Lumber is hiring an experienced CDL Truck Driver (Class A or Class B) to deliver building materials to residential and commercial jobsites. This is a hands-on, physically demanding role — not just driving from point A to point B. Drivers are expected to load, unload, handle returns, and work outdoors in all seasons.

What You’ll Do

• Safely operate Class A or Class B trucks to deliver lumber and building materials


• Load and unload your own truck using forklifts, Moffett, and manual labor as required


• Deliver to active jobsites and load returns from customer locations


• Secure loads properly and inspect materials for accuracy and condition


• Communicate with dispatch using mobile apps or tablets


• Complete required logs, inspections, and delivery paperwork


• Represent Koopman Lumber professionally with customers and jobsite personnel


• This role requires physical effort and problem-solving — it’s not dock-to-dock driving.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience operating Moffett and forklifts strongly preferred


• Comfortable working outdoors year-round in all weather conditions


• Physically fit and capable of sustained, heavy work

• Ability to frequently lift 80 lbs and occasionally lift up to 100 lbs independently
