CDL Truck Driver (Class A or B) – Lumber & Building Materials

Employment Type: Full-Time

Reports To: Store Manager / Dispatch

Cornerstone is hiring an experienced CDL Truck Driver (Class A or Class B) to deliver building materials to residential and commercial jobsites. This is a hands‑on, physically demanding role — not just driving from point A to point B. Drivers are expected to load, unload, handle returns, and work outdoors in all seasons.

What You’ll Do

• Safely operate Class A or Class B trucks to deliver lumber and building materials
• Load and unload your own truck using forklifts, Moffett, and manual labor as required
• Deliver to active jobsites and load returns from customer locations
• Secure loads properly and inspect materials for accuracy and condition
• Communicate with dispatch using mobile apps or tablets
• Complete required logs, inspections, and delivery paperwork
• Represent Koopman Lumber professionally with customers and jobsite personnel
• This role requires physical effort and problem‑solving — it’s not dock‑to‑dock driving.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

• Valid CDL Class A or Class B
• Hoisting License (H‑1C preferred)
• Experience operating Moffett and forklifts strongly preferred
• Comfortable working outdoors year‑round in all weather conditions
• Physically fit and capable of sustained, heavy work
• Strong focus on safety, accuracy, and customer service
• Comfortable using smartphones or tablets for routing and communication

Physical Requirements

• Ability to frequently lift 80 lbs and occasionally lift up to 100 lbs independently
• Frequent bending, climbing, pushing, pulling, and material handling
• Ability to pass pre‑employment drug screening and DOT physical
