Job summary

Greenrise Technologies is seeking a reliable CDL Delivery Driver to ensure safe, timely deliveries to our customers. You will operate a commercial truck, plan routes, and maintain accurate logs while upholding all safety protocols.

You will coordinate with management, interact professionally with customers, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, and assist with loading/unloading as needed. A clean driving record and physical fitness are required to meet federal regulations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

As a CDL Delivery Driver at Greenrise Technologies, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods to our customers. You will be responsible for operating a commercial motor vehicle, typically a truck with a CDL (Commercial Driver's License), to transport products or materials to specified destinations. Your primary duty is to deliver items in a safe, efficient, and courteous manner while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.

Duties & Functions

• Communicating and coordinating with managers
• Obeying and following applicable traffic laws
• Securing cargo and properly arranging and balancing it within the vehicle
• Maintaining a detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Ensuring any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving
• Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules
• Complying with truck driving rules and regulations
• Reporting defects, accidents and violations
• Performing daily maintenance of truck (refueling, cleaning, etc.)
• Loading and unloading box trucks with forklifts and pallet jacks
• Interacting with customers in a professional manner
• Performing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspection reports
• Verifying loads for accuracy
• Knowledge of how to work a skid steerer
• Adhere to company policies and safety procedures, including the safe handling of hazardous materials, if applicable.
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Standards

• Strong knowledge of safety regulations, to be familiar with not just traffic laws but rules regarding how often they are required to rest, maximum miles driven and the like
• A valid and clean driving record, or they can have their license suspended or revoked
• Physical fitness, since Truck Drivers are required to pass a physical exam every two years
• Hand-eye coordination, since they must coordinate their hands, legs and eyes to maintain a fast reaction time on the roads
• Visual and hearing acuity, in accordance with federal regulations which mandate that truck drivers have to hear a forced whisper at 5 feet, have at least 20/40 vision, a 70-degree field of vision and the ability to distinguish the colors of traffic lights
