Ewing Outdoor Supply in Hayward, CA is seeking a CDL Driver to join our team. This frontline role supports customer relations, branch operations, and daily deliveries, reporting to the branch manager and dispatch team.

Qualifications

• CDL A license required and valid.
• Proven experience as a CDL driver.
• Hands-on experience with GPS/AVL/CB and electronic equipment.
• Thorough knowledge of truck driving rules and regulations.
• No recent moving or driving violations.
• Willing to undergo background and drug checks.
• Use payroll system to clock in/out per policy.

Responsibilities

• Transport materials to and from retail or distribution centers
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
• Comply with CDL rules and company policies
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Collect and verify delivery instructions
• Report defects, accidents, or violations

A CDL Driver provides meaningful service to our customers in the most pleasant and professional manner possible. A CDL Driver will support the branch manager and dispatch managers and the company's goals. Drivers are expected to support Branch Managers by performing the tasks and activities required for successful branch operations, maintaining vehicle safety, as well as providing customer support. Additional requirements include the completion of tasks and activities assigned in support of annual plans established by the Branch, its Region, and its Division.

Requirements

• CDL A License Required
• Proven work experience as a CDL Driver
• Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB, etc)
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
• No recent moving or driving violations
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc)
• Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations
• Valid CDL license
• Use of payroll system regularly to clock in and out in accordance with Company policy and state/federal laws and regulations
