Job summary

Richelieu Hardware Ltée seeks a CDL-A or CDL-B Driver to join our team in Greenville, SC. You will deliver orders, prepare shipments, inspect and maintain the vehicle, and coordinate with dispatch to ensure on-time deliveries. The role emphasizes safety, customer service, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Deliver orders via efficient routes to meet customer needs and timeframes
• Prepare and secure products for shipment; verify shipping papers
• Inspect vehicle and equipment; perform preventive maintenance as needed
• Maintain communication with dispatch for updated instructions
• Document deliveries and discrepancies; ensure compliance with company policies
• Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment as required
• Assist with warehouse and counter duties as needed
• Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm

Our Opportunity

We are currently seeking a CDL-A or CDL-B Driver to join our team of professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver orders via the most effective route to ensure complete orders are delivered according to established time frames and customers' needs
• Prepare truck for operation by loading the product, securing of items and verifying the accuracy of shipping papers
• Inspect truck tires, lights, brakes, fluids, etc. to ensure safe and cost-effective performance with preventive maintenance in mind
• Maintain communication with company during deliveries to ensure any updated instructions are received
• Document delivery, accuracy and receipt of orders by the customer according to company directives and report any discrepancies
• Maintain and monitor truck maintenance and driving record requirements, and maintain required documents for safety, security, and quality processes
• Work with other distribution team members to insure complete, accurate and on-time deliveries to the company's customers
• Represent the company in a highly professional, safe, and cost-effective manner
• Maintain a satisfactory driving record and comply with all DOT and other applicable regulations
• Follow company policies and procedures
• Increase customer satisfaction by collecting information, feedback on service and resolving complaints per company policy; communicate information back to company
• Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as required
• Perform occasional warehouse and counter duties
• Maintain proficiency in computerized systems and other technologies as required
• Other duties as assigned
• Hours of operation are Monday - Friday from 7:30am to 4:00pm

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and DOT Medical Examiners Certificate is required
