Job summary

Heritage Landscape Supply Group, Inc. is seeking a safety-conscious Local CDL Class A or B Driver to join our team.

You will safely deliver products to customers’ sites within a local radius, starting and ending at the home branch, with no overnight stays and overtime opportunities during busy seasons. Responsibilities include loading, delivering, and unloading orders, adhering to DOT/FMC regulations, and maintaining delivery records.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL License Class A or B is required.
• Safe driving record with no major incidents in the last 3 years.
• Prior commercial driving experience is a plus and DOT/OSHA regulations knowledge is preferred.
• Basic computer skills are needed and forklift experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver products to customers’ locations within a local radius.
• Begin and end deliveries at the home branch with no overnight stays.
• Load, unload, and stage orders at warehouses or job sites as needed.
• Deliver to customer sites and branch locations and unload products.
• Maintain driver logs and records and ensure delivery receipts are signed.

Job description

Heritage Landscape Supply , is on the lookout for a safety-conscious, self-motivated team player to join our family as a Local CDL Class A or B Driver. Be part of a supportive work culture where you can thrive and make a real difference!

As our Local CDL Class A or B Driver, your primary responsibility will be to safely deliver products to customers’ places of business or job sites within a maximum radius of your home branch. Enjoy the convenience of having your deliveries start and end at the branch, with no overnight stays , and take advantage of overtime opportunities during busy seasons!

Essential Duties:

• Prioritize safety above all else!
• Comply with all DOT regulations while operating a commercial vehicle
• Load, unload, and stage orders in a warehouse or job site environment
• Deliver to customer sites and branch locations, unloading products as needed
• Understand and adhere to the FMCSA regulations
• Perform additional related duties, such as stocking, order entry, shipping, receiving, and more
• Maintain delivery, truck, and driving records by obtaining signed delivery receipts, recording tracking information, and completing driver log and truck performance forms

Requirements:

• Valid CDL License Class A or B
• Safe driving record with no hit & runs or DWI/DUI convictions within the last three years; accidents and/or severe violations in the last year will be reviewed by HR and Management
• Prior commercial driving experience and knowledge of DOT & OSHA safety regulations are a plus
• Basic computer knowledge
• Forklift experience is helpful
• (Other type of truck experience will be considered.)
• Ability to lift 50 pounds on a repetitive basis
• Able to pass a background check, pre-employment drug test and DOT physical
