Job summary

FleetPride is hiring drivers to pick up and deliver customer trucks, tractors and trailers. You will test drive vehicles and assist with related tasks as needed. Ensure accurate loading, routes, and documentation while maintaining safety standards.

Maintain logs and report any vehicle defects or incidents, complying with state and federal regulations. A CDL and clean driving record are required, with at least two years of driving experience.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma (or GED) is required.
  • Minimum 2 years of driver experience.
  • Valid CDL with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Pick up and deliver customer’s tractors and trailers; test drive vehicles and assist with tasks.
  • Follow delivery routes to maximize efficiency and ensure proper loading/unloading.
  • Check load-related documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Report vehicle defects or incidents and maintain logs as required by regulations.

Test drive vehicles and help with other tasks as presented.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESPick up customers’ trucks, tractors and trailers that need repair from customers’ location.Deliver trucks, tractors and trailers to the customers after repair work on them has been completed.Follow company delivery routes to insure maximum efficiency of delivery run.Check all load –related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.Check vehicles before driving to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.Maintain logs of working hours and of vehicle service and repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations.Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew as needed; check that vehicle position is correct and any special loading equipment is properly positioned.EDUCATION & TRAININGHigh School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCEMinimum of 2 years of experience in a driver position.Valid Commercial Drivers’ License with clean driving record.SKILLS & ABILITIESEquipment Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.Communication: Conveying information to others in an effective manner.
