Local CDL A or CDL B Driver

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

The primary duty of the Driver, referred to as a Logistics Specialist II, with or without a Crane Operator, is to deliver building materials to customers or job sites. Deliveries are within a 200-mile radius of the home branch, with no overnight stays required.

• Home every night
• Safety Bonus
• Safely operate a commercial vehicle in compliance with all DOT regulations
• Lead job site safety by operating equipment according to local, state, and federal laws
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections
• Verify and confirm inventory loaded, compare purchase orders, sign delivery tickets, and confirm addresses
• Conduct job site inspections, document existing damages, and note the location of utilities and obstacles
• Take pictures of all delivered building products as per company policy

Requirements

• Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Ability to load and unload building products weighing up to 100 lbs., with forklift or Moffett experience a plus
• Safe driving record with no recent hit & runs, DWI, or DUI convictions within the last three years; severe violations or accidents in the past year will be reviewed
• Prior commercial driving experience and knowledge of DOT & OSHA safety regulations are advantageous
• Experience in distribution is a plus
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
• Minimum age of 18; 21 if crossing state lines or transporting hazardous materials
• Pass a drug test and hold a current DOT medical certificate; no positive drug tests in the past 12 months
• U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S., and pass an E-Verify check
