Job summary

SRS Distribution Inc. in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking a Driver responsible for delivering products safely and efficiently, maintaining paperwork, and supporting warehouse operations. The role requires compliance with DOT/OSHA and company safety programs, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CDL with Hazmat endorsement, as needed.
• 1 year of delivery truck driving experience.
• 1 year of forklift and warehouse experience.
• 1 year of customer service experience, preferred.
• Proficiency in computer and inventory systems, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specified product to locations in a safe and efficient manner by driving short and long distances.
• Coordinate with management to ensure safe and efficient delivery routes.
• Verify with customers at delivery that correct product was delivered in satisfactory condition.
• Perform loading and unloading of the truck as needed.
• Maintain all required certifications (DOT, OSHA, and company safety programs).
• Ensure all paperwork including shipping papers and Hazmat paperwork is accurate and on file.
• Perform pre- and post-trip truck inspections.
• Maintain truck maintenance records and report issues to management.
• Provide support to Warehouse Associates.
• Work overtime as assigned and cooperate with others.

Job Purpose:
The purpose of the Driver is to operate company vehicles to deliver product in a safe and timely manner.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Deliver specified product to various locations in a safe and efficient manner by driving short and long distances during the day
• Coordinate with management to ensure safe and efficient delivery routes
• Verify with the customer at the time of delivery that the correct product was delivered in satisfactory condition
• Perform loading and unloading of the truck as needed
• Maintain all required certifications required by DOT, OSHA, and company safety programs
• Ensure all required paperwork, including but not limited to shipping papers and Hazmat paperwork, is accurately completed and in possession
• Perform pre- and post-trip truck inspections
• Maintain truck maintenance records
• Notify management of any safety issues with company vehicles
• Provide support to Warehouse Associates
• Participate in after-hours training classes
• Work overtime as assigned
• Work cooperatively with others
• Comply with all company policies and procedures

Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazmat endorsement, as needed
• 1 year of delivery truck driving experience
• 1 year of forklift and warehouse experience
• 1 year of customer service experience, preferred
• Proficiency in computer and inventory systems, preferred
• Must be 21 years of age
• Possess a valid driver’s license
• Maintain a satisfactory driving record as determined by Company Driver Policies
• Qualify for and remain insurable under Company liability insurance policies
• Meet federal and state requirements to operate the vehicle

Travel Requirement:
• 80% travel to branches and other operating companies

The base salary for this position typically falls within the range of $20.00 to $24.00 per hour. Starting wage may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position being offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. SRS Distribution offers additional competitive and non-financial benefits. Hourly associates may be eligible for overtime based on business needs. Depending on the role, associates may also be eligible for performance-based bonus programs, commissions, car allowance or automobile and fuel program, and reimbursement for travel expenses in accordance with company travel policy.
