Job summary

Carolina Conduit System (CCS) is seeking an experienced CDL Class A or B Driver with manual shift experience to join our team in the Southeast. This role includes hauling materials and heavy equipment and assisting with field operations as needed, not just driving.

Responsibilities include inspecting vehicles, operating heavy equipment, loading/unloading, keeping logs, and performing minor repairs while maintaining safety and quality on site.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A or B license with manual shift required.
• Minimum 2 years of commercial truck driving experience preferred.
• Experience hauling lowboy trailers and heavy equipment is a plus.
• Ability to perform minor mechanical repairs.
• Strong time management, communication, and customer service skills.
• Willingness to assist with field work in addition to driving responsibilities.
• Commitment to safety, reliability, and professionalism.
• Dump truck experience: 1 year (Required).
• CDL A (Required).

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and regulatory compliance.
• Safely operate a tandem axle dump truck with or without trailers, hauling materials and heavy equipment.
• Operate loaders, skid steers, and excavators for loading/unloading and moving equipment.
• Secure loads and ensure safe transportation of materials.
• Carry out minor truck and trailer repairs in the yard as needed.
• Maintain daily vehicle condition reports and report issues promptly.
• Collaborate with crews, supervisors, and clients professionally.
• Adhere to all company safety standards and procedures.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced CDL Class A or B Driver with manual shift experience. This is not a driving-only role—in addition to hauling materials and equipment, the driver will also assist with field operations, including operating heavy equipment to load/unload trailers and support construction activities as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with company and DOT regulations.
• Safely operate a tandem axle dump truck—with or without trailers—hauling materials and heavy equipment to and from construction sites.
• Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, skid steers, and excavators for loading/unloading trailers and moving equipment to job sites.
• Ensure all loads are properly secured and transported safely.
• Perform minor truck and trailer repairs in the yard as needed.
• Maintain accurate daily vehicle condition reports and promptly report issues.
• Work collaboratively with crews, supervisors, and clients in a professional manner.
• Follow all company safety standards and procedures.
