Job summary

Carolina Conduit System is seeking an experienced CDL driver (Class A or B) with manual transmission, who will also assist with field operations and heavy equipment loading. This full-time role involves hauling materials and equipment to and from construction sites, performing pre- and post-trip inspections, and supporting a safety‑driven team in the Raleigh area.

Responsibilities include operating dump trucks and loaders, securing loads, conducting basic repairs, and maintaining vehicle reports

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL (manual shift) is required.
• Minimum 2 years of commercial truck driving experience preferred.
• Experience hauling lowboy trailers and heavy equipment is a plus.
• Ability to perform minor mechanical repairs.
• Strong time management, communication, and customer service skills.
• Willingness to assist with field work in addition to driving responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with company and DOT regulations.
• Safely operate a tandem axle dump truck—with or without trailers—hauling materials and heavy equipment to and from construction sites.
• Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, skid steers, and excavators for loading/unloading trailers and moving equipment to job sites.
• Ensure all loads are properly secured and transported safely.
• Perform minor truck and trailer repairs in the yard as needed.
• Maintain accurate daily vehicle condition reports and promptly report issues.
• Work collaboratively with crews, supervisors, and clients in a professional manner.
• Follow all company safety standards and procedures.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced CDL Class A or B Driver with manual shift experience. This is not a driving-only role— in addition to hauling materials and equipment, the driver will also assist with field operations, including operating heavy equipment to load/unload trailers and support construction activities as needed.
