Local CDL A or CDL B Driver

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

The primary duty of the Driver, known as a Logistics Specialist II, with or without a Crane Operator, is to deliver building materials to customers or job sites. Drivers operate within a 200-mile radius of their home branch, with deliveries starting and ending at the branch, and no overnight stays are required.

• Safely operate a commercial vehicle in compliance with all DOT regulations
• Lead job site safety by operating equipment according to local, state, and federal laws
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections
• Verify and confirm inventory loaded, compare purchase orders, sign delivery tickets, and confirm addresses and routing information
• Inspect job sites and document any existing damage or hazards such as power lines, sprinklers, septic tanks, mailboxes, fences, etc.
• Take pictures of all delivered building products as per company policy

Requirements

• Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Ability to load and unload building products weighing up to 100 lbs. each, with experience operating forklifts or Moffett trucks a plus
• Safe driving record with no recent hit & run, DWI, or DUI violations; severe violations or multiple accidents in the past year will be reviewed
• Experience with DOT & OSHA safety regulations is advantageous
• Distribution or logistics experience is a plus
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
• Minimum age of 18; 21 if crossing state lines or transporting hazardous materials
• Pass a drug test and hold a current DOT medical certificate; no positive drug tests in the past 12 months
• Authorized to work in the U.S. and pass an E-Verify check
