Local CDL A or CDL B Driver

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

The primary duty of the Driver, also known as a Logistics Specialist II (with or without a Crane Operator), is to deliver building materials to customers or job sites. Drivers operate within a 200-mile radius of their home branch, with all deliveries originating and ending at the branch (no overnight stays).

• Safely operate a commercial vehicle in compliance with DOT regulations
• Lead job site safety by operating equipment according to local, state, and federal laws
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections
• Verify and confirm loaded inventory, compare purchase orders, sign delivery tickets, and confirm addresses and routing information
• Conduct job site inspections, documenting any existing damage and noting obstacles like power lines or fences
• Capture photos of all delivered building products as per company policy

Requirements

• Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Ability to load and unload building products weighing up to 100 lbs. each; forklift or Moffett experience is a plus
• Safe driving record with no recent hit & run, DWI, or DUI convictions within the last three years; recent accidents or violations will be reviewed
• Prior commercial driving experience and knowledge of DOT & OSHA safety regulations are advantageous
• Experience in distribution is a plus
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
• Minimum age of 18; 21 if crossing state lines or transporting hazardous materials
• Must pass a drug test, hold a current DOT medical certificate, and have no positive drug tests in the past 12 months
• Authorized to work in the U.S., pass an E-Verify check, and be a U.S. citizen or legal resident
