Job summary

ABC Supply, America’s largest wholesale distributor of exterior and interior building products, is seeking a licensed CDL Driver to join our team. You will safely deliver materials, document each delivery with photos, perform thorough load checks, and work with the Delivery Material Handler to unload at job sites.

Some warehouse tasks may be required. The role requires a valid CDL Class B, ability to lift 75-100 pounds repeatedly, and a pre-employment drug screen.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL – Class B minimum.
• Able to lift 75-100 pounds repeatedly (bundles of shingles).
• Pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens required.
• Knuckle boom truck experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive safely and deliver materials per schedule.
• Maintain a safe work zone at each job site.
• Document every delivery by taking photos with company system.
• Perform load checks before leaving the branch and secure all materials.
• Coordinate with Delivery Material Handler for material placement and unloading.
• Complete logs and government paperwork accurately and timely.
• Provide customer with an invoice and collect payment for COD deliveries.
• Possibly assist with warehouse tasks such as loading/unloading as assigned.

At ABC Supply, we have YOUR future covered.Specific duties may include:Treating customers in a friendly and professional mannerConducting a safe work zone during each job siteAdhering to assigned delivery schedule and following all job directives preciselyDocumenting every step of each delivery by taking and uploading photos with our camera phone systemCompleting a thorough load check on your truck before leaving the branch, ensuring that all delivery materials are firmly secured and all parts of your truck are in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulationsWorking in cooperation with the Delivery Material Handler to determine where to set the materials and unloading themCompleting and filing all logs and required government paperwork in a precise and timely mannerProviding the customer with an invoice on completion of each delivery and collecting the entire due amount on COD deliveriesResponsibilities may include warehouse work, including loading and unloading of materials on to or off of trucks or into warehouse as assignedThis position does not require over the road travelSpecific qualifications include:Valid CDL – Class B minimumThe ability to lift 75-100 pounds repeatedly (your most common cargo will be 70 pound bundles of shingles)Pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens are requiredKnuckle boom truck experience is preferredPay Rate Information$27/hr.
