Qualifications

• Valid CDL and clean driving record.
• Physical fitness is required; a physical exam is conducted every two years.
• Good hand-eye coordination and quick reaction times on the road.
• Strong visual and hearing acuity per federal regs.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and rest/mileage rules.

Responsibilities

• Operate a commercial motor vehicle (CDL) to deliver goods safely and on time.
• Communicate and coordinate with managers.
• Secure cargo and balance loads in the vehicle.
• Maintain logs of working hours per regulations.
• Inspect vehicle for defects before driving.
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
• Interact with customers professionally.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Report defects, accidents, and violations.
• Load/unload using forklifts and pallet jacks.
