Job summary

ABC Supply in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a licensed CDL Driver to safely deliver exterior and interior building products and return home each night. You will ensure secure loads, document deliveries with photos, and coordinate with the material handler to place loads at the job site.

This role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and customer service. Requirements include a valid CDL-A, ability to lift 75-100 lbs repeatedly, and a pre-employment drug screen with random testing.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL – Class A is required.
• The ability to lift 75-100 pounds repeatedly (common cargo includes 70 pound bundles of shingles).
• Pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens are required.
• Flatbed, straight and/or box truck experience is preferred.
• Hazmat endorsement is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Treat customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Maintain a safe work zone during each job site.
• Adhere to delivery schedules and follow all directives.
• Document each delivery by taking and uploading photos with the camera phone system.
• Complete a thorough load check before leaving the branch.
• Coordinate with Delivery Material Handler for material placement and unloading.
• Complete logs and required government paperwork accurately and timely.
• Provide customer with an invoice and collect COD where applicable.
• Possibly perform warehouse tasks like loading/unloading materials as assigned.
