Your role at Baxter

The Service Specialist (CDL Delivery Driver) is responsible for safely operating an 18 to 24-foot commercial vehicle while delivering dialysis products to a diverse home patient base, as well as, kidney dialysis centers. Home patient visits consist of delivering dialysis solution, rotation of stock, and order accuracy assurance with occasional order pick-ups and returns.

Schedule:

4 day work week with weekends off (5am-3pm/6am-4pm) some overnights

Your team

This position is physically demanding and requires making deliveries across urban and rural areas, sometimes in exciting locations. Home deliveries may involve up to and in excess of 45 cases per delivery.

The Service Specialist collaborates with multiple levels of the supply chain, including dialysis patients, regional office staff, customer service, and healthcare professionals.

What you'll bring
  • Minimum of 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Class A or B CDL with Air Brake endorsement, MVR meeting standards, and understanding of DOT rules
  • Valid Medical Card
  • At least 1 year of driving comparable equipment; inside delivery experience preferred
  • Ability to maintain driver HOS log using ELD
  • Pass Industrial Capabilities Test
  • Ability to perform multi-day routes, including some overnight travel
  • Safe operation of material handling equipment (lift gates, ramps, pallet jacks, etc.)
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work in diverse teams
  • Adherence to safety rules outlined by Baxter and DOT
  • Ability to distinguish product label colors
Physical Environment:
  • Work in distribution centers, tractor trailers, patient homes, and dialysis centers
  • Repetitive lifting of cases up to 50 pounds
  • Frequent vehicle entry/exit, bending, crouching, reaching, climbing, and balancing
  • Work in extreme cold and heat conditions
