Job summary

Nutrien is hiring a local CDL driver in Preston, IA to drive company trucks to sprayer or fertilizer orders, pick up and deliver product, and maintain records. This full-time role is local with no long-haul travel.

You must have a High School diploma, CDL with hazmat preferred, DOT medical, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a driving record that meets company standards. Competitive benefits and overtime available.

Responsibilities

• Drive company trucks to designated sprayer or fertilizer orders, safely and accurately.
• Complete and maintain records as required by company and government regulations.
• Pick up and deliver product to customers as needed.
• Load or assist in loading trailer with materials.
• Unload or assist in unloading trailer of bulk chemical and fertilizer using forklift or hand truck.
• Keep abreast of hazards and take proper precautions.
• Perform all responsibilities safely and efficiently.
• Maintain equipment and cleanliness.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Do

• Drive company trucks to designated sprayer or fertilizer order, safely and accurately
• Complete and maintain records as required by the company and government regulations
• Pick up and deliver product to customers as needed
• Load or assist in loading trailer with materials
• Unload or assist in unloading trailer of bulk chemical and fertilizer at the facility, safely and efficiently by using forklift or hand truck
• Keep abreast of the dangers and hazards of products and take proper precaution
• Able to perform all responsibilities safely and efficiently
• Clean and conduct proper maintenance on equipment
• Other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring

• Driving experience preferred
• Must have a driving record that meets company standards
• Must meet Department of Transportation physical and medical requirements and pass substance abuse screening
• A CDL required; hazmat endorsement preferred
• Able to lift/carry up to 50lbs
