US FOODS® is hiring a CDL A Delivery Driver in Crestview, FL. You will transport and unload products, verify deliveries, and interact with customers to ensure satisfaction, while adhering to safety standards and performing vehicle inspections.

The role emphasizes reliable delivery, professional service, and compliance with DOT regulations, with early shift hours and daily dispatches to service routes.

Qualifications

• Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse as required by DOT.
• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid CDL A.
• Minimum CDL experience of 6 months (any industry) or 3 months in food/bev delivery.

Responsibilities

• Safe driving delivering products to customers in a timely and safe manner.
• Unloading using two-wheeler, ramp, or by hand; 100% touch freight.
• Verify deliveries with customers and secure signatures.
• Provide professional customer service.
• Perform pre- & post-trip inspections to uphold safety.
• Handle collections and payments when applicable.
• Accept other duties as assigned by management.

CDL A Delivery Driver - Position Overview

Join us in delivering more than just food; we deliver trust, reliability, and a promise of excellence. You'll safely navigate the highway and city streets, back into tight docks, and unload with precision. The CDL A Delivery Driver role goes beyond simply transporting goods - it's about perfecting the craft of delivery, earning trust mile by mile, and serving as a vital link to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Safe Driving: Deliver products to our customers in a timely and safe manner.
• Unloading: Skillfully unload products efficiently using a two-wheeler, ramp, or by hand, placing them in the designated storage areas - 100% touch freight.
• Delivery Verification: Verify deliveries with customers & secure signatures.
• Customer Service: Provide professional service to enhance customer experience.
• Equipment Inspection: Conduct pre- & post-trip inspections to uphold safety standards.
• Account Management: Handle collections and payments when applicable.
• Adaptability: All other duties assigned by management.

Physical Requirements

• Lift/carry/push/pull/lower 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift required.
• Driving & working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift) required.
• Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment as low as 0 degrees.
• Continuously grasp objects & manipulate objects. Frequently sit, stand, walk, drive, climb/balance, stoop/squat, kneel/bend, bend, reach above shoulder, twist, and use manual dexterity.

Qualifications

• *Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse*
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.
• Minimum 6-months commercial driving experience (any industry) OR 3-months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry required.
• Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations.
• Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records.
