SMV Recruiting is currently working with a well-known, family-owned company in Syracuse, NY, that is looking for a Route Delivery Driver / DSD Representative, CDL-A / B. As a Delivery Route Driver, you will be responsible for handling direct store deliveries on a daily basis, Monday – Friday. You will enjoy the freedom and responsibility of a driving position without extensive road travel. Responsibilities:

1. Perform daily inspections on trucks and report on operating conditions.
2. Ensure vehicles are maintained in a safe and professional condition.
3. Maintain driver logs in accordance with federal motor carrier regulations.
4. Promote and adhere to company, FMCSA, and OSHA safety policies.
5. Load, transport, and deliver milk products from the warehouse or depots to customers.
6. Rotate and fill shelves with merchandise at retail locations, removing outdated products as needed.
7. Assist in writing customer orders and make necessary adjustments.
8. Accurately collect and reconcile accounts.
9. Return all empty cases to the warehouse at the end of each shift.
10. Provide excellent customer service through timely and accurate deliveries, engaging positively with customers.
11. Act as a liaison for the company, resolving customer concerns or escalating issues to supervisory staff when necessary.

Requirements:

1. Minimum of 3 months driving experience with CDL-A / B.
2. Ability to drive a standard transmission.
3. Excellent work and driving history.
4. GED or high school diploma required.
5. Ability to work in all weather conditions.
6. Capability to push/pull stacks of crates weighing up to 250 lbs.
7. Physical ability to climb, bend, and twist frequently.
8. Availability to work 6 days per week.
9. Flexibility to work variable days and hours, including holidays.
