Job summary

Colonial Group is hiring a crane-equipped delivery driver to transport materials using a boom/crane on the load and unload process. You will plan hoists, ensure load weights comply with DOT limits, and maintain delivery logs with attention to safety.

Requirements include a valid CDL, Boom/Crane Operator certification, a DOT medical card within five days, and 21+ years old. Physical ability to lift heavy weights and operate crane equipment is essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid CDL and Boom/Crane Operator certification.
• A DOT medical card must be obtained within five days of request.
• Candidate must be at least 21 years old and comply with state/federal regulations.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds frequently and up to 200 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Drive delivery vehicle with crane/boom to loading sites and customer locations.
• Rig, plan and hoist heavy construction materials onto delivery trucks.
• Compute crane capacities and weights to avoid overloading and protect structures.
• Maintain logs of deliveries, weights, miles and locations for invoicing and compliance.
• Inspect and maintain crane equipment and delivery vehicle for safety and regulatory compliance.
• Plan daily routes to meet productivity goals and safety requirements.
• Follow all safety procedures and participate in safety meetings.
