Job summary

One Mesa in Midland, TX is seeking a Construction Assistant w/CDL to support field crews. You will operate commercial vehicles, assist with loading/unloading, set up equipment, and perform general labor on corrosion-control projects.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL, ability to travel for weeks, and strict adherence to safety protocols. Per diem and hotel accommodations are provided when traveling; compensation ranges from $25.00 to $30.50 per hour with benefits including medical, 401(k),

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with an acceptable driving record.
• Basic knowledge of construction site safety practices and protocols.
• Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting heavy materials.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Ability to travel for multiple weeks at a time as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles safely.
• Assist construction crews with loading and unloading materials, setting up equipment, and performing general labor tasks.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
• Follow all safety protocols and regulatory requirements related to vehicles operation and construction activities.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate deliveries, schedules, and on-site support tasks.
• Prepare construction site and clean up when job is completed.
• Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, and compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, tampers, and rakes.
• Other duties as needed.
