Job summary

ONEMESA is seeking a Construction Operator w/CDL to support corrosion-control projects in Houston, TX. The role involves hands-on field work, equipment operation, and driving, with multi-week travel.

Compensation ranges from $23.50 to $33.75 per hour, with comprehensive benefits, 401(k) match, paid time off, and per diem lodging for travel. The ideal candidate holds a valid CDL, safety awareness, and ability to work outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL with acceptable driving record.
• Basic knowledge of construction site safety practices.
• Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting heavy materials.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Ability to travel for multiple weeks at a time.
• OSHA 10 certification or higher (preferred).
• Experience operating construction equipment (preferred).
• Basic mechanical skills (preferred).
• Experience in the corrosion control industry (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles safely.
• Assist construction crews with loading/unloading materials, setting up equipment, and performing general labor tasks.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
• Follow all safety protocols and regulatory requirements related to vehicles operation and construction activities.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate deliveries, schedules, and on-site support tasks.
• Prepare construction site and clean up when job is completed.
• Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, and compact and level earth to grade specifications.
