The role involves safely operating a commercial truck, efficient route collection, and courteous customer service along assigned routes. The ideal candidate will hold a valid CDL, have a clean driving record, and be able to work early mornings and varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) appropriate for the vehicle and work assignment.
  • Clean driving record and ability to safely operate commercial equipment.
  • Experience in refuse collection, trucking, or a related driving role preferred.
  • Ability to work early mornings, occasional overtime, and in varying weather conditions.
  • Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and punctuality.
  • Ability to follow directions, work independently, and complete assigned routes efficiently.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift, carry, enter and exit the vehicle and move materials as part of daily duties.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a commercial refuse truck safely and in compliance with all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
  • Complete assigned collection routes in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Collect, transport, and unload refuse, recycling, and other materials as directed.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records related to routes, pickups, and service issues as required.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, supervisors, and team members.
  • Follow proper lifting, loading, and material-handling practices to reduce risk of injury.
  • Keep the vehicle and work area clean and organized.
  • Support additional operational tasks as needed to meet service demands.
