We are looking for a reliable and safety-focused CDL Class B Truck Driver to support our Chicago, IL distribution operations. This is a part-time position responsible for the safe and timely delivery of finished goods to local customers while maintaining accurate delivery documentation and following all DOT, company, and safety requirements.

Position Summary

The CDL Class B Truck Driver will be responsible for local deliveries, loading and unloading finished goods, verifying orders for accuracy, and providing professional service to customers. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, safety-conscious, and comfortable working independently.

This position requires regular physical activity, including loading and unloading product and operating both electric and manual pallet jacks.

Schedule
  • Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
  • 6:00 AM–12:00 PM
  • Approximately 18 hours per week
  • Local delivery routes; typically no overnight travel
  • Safely operate a company commercial vehicle in compliance with all applicable DOT regulations and company policies.
  • Complete local deliveries to customers according to established routes and delivery schedules.
  • Verify finished goods and sales orders for accuracy prior to departure and upon delivery.
  • Load and unload products from the delivery truck using appropriate material-handling equipment.
  • Safely operate electric and manual pallet jacks.
  • Ensure products are handled and transported properly to prevent damage.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate delivery paperwork, sales orders, invoices, and other required documentation.
  • Obtain customer signatures and confirmations as required.
  • Assist with collecting customer payments when necessary; payments are limited to checks, no cash handling is required.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and represent Baily International in a positive manner.
  • Conduct routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any vehicle issues or safety concerns.
  • Perform basic truck maintenance and identify maintenance needs when necessary.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the vehicle and delivery equipment.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, DOT requirements, and safe work practices.
  • Immediately report accidents, vehicle issues, damaged products, or other delivery concerns to management.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
