Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) Class B is required, with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience operating heavy vehicles and equipment, preferably in a municipal or construction environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy vehicles to transport materials, equipment, and personnel to city work sites.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report defects to supervisors.
• Load and unload materials and maintain accurate paperwork and records.
• Assist in street maintenance tasks such as pothole patching and debris removal.
• Follow routes, schedules, and safety regulations.
• Operate tools and equipment to assist in construction and maintenance activities as needed.
• Adhere to safety protocols and PPE usage; emergency services may be required.
