Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America in Lake Charles, LA seeks a professional CDL-B driver to deliver products to customers on scheduled routes. You will operate a straight or pup truck, ensure inside deliveries when requested, and maintain high safety and service standards.

Responsibilities include following routes, loading/unloading, completing driver logs, maintaining vehicle, merchandising, and representing DFA professionally in all customer interactions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Up to 2 years of experience driving a straight truck or pup truck.
• CDL Class B with Air Brake endorsement.
• Must meet DFA Motor Vehicle Records.
• Must meet all DOT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with DOT and DFA rules and safety practices.
• Deliver pre-ordered or special orders to customers on route schedule.
• Follow routes and report delays due to road conditions or breakdowns.
• Load/unload as required and assist with stocking/rotating products.
• Complete daily paperwork, driver logs, and vehicle service reports.
• Provide merchandising support and promote new products when appropriate.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and proper load securement.
• Represent DFA professionally in all customer interactions.
