Job summary

PODS is seeking a driver to deliver and pickup containers at customer locations. You will operate a truck with a lift, conduct safety-inspected trips, and coordinate with customers for rental paperwork and payments.

You will use a handheld device for navigation and delivery verification, with forklift/overhead crane tasks as needed. The role requires a CDL Class B, DOT medical cert, and a 2-week training program.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• A valid CDL Class B license is required without air brake restriction.
• DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate or ability to obtain (minimum 1 year)
• Able to attend a 2-week new-hire driver training program.
• Math skills sufficient to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate a commercial truck with a lift to load/unload containers at customer sites.
• Perform and log daily pre/post trip inspections of vehicle and lift.
• Accept add-on deliveries to meet business needs.
• Use handheld computer for delivery verification and navigation.
• Operate forklift and/or overhead crane.
• Maintain cleanliness of truck and containers before delivery.
• Coordinate rental paperwork and payment with customers.
• Communicate with supervisor and prepare driver notes as needed.
• Perform repairs of containers and lifts in the field and at storage center.
