We are currently seeking an experienced CDL Class B Driver to join our Jamesville team. This position involves driving to and from the Plants, Quarries, and job sites safely and efficiently.

Compensation:

$23.00 - $26.00

Main Responsibilities

1. Operate truck equipped with a live bottom body to transport dump loose material such as sand, gravel, crushed rock, bituminous paving materials.
2. Conduct pre-trip/post-trip inspection checklist on equipment such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water.
3. Handle paperwork concerning load tickets.
4. Carry out detailed instructions but also use good judgment in decision-making and work independently.
5. Oil, grease, and fuel the truck as needed.
6. Operate the vehicle safely in traffic and follow company policies and procedures.
7. Comply with all NYSDOT rules and regulations.
8. Adhere to the company’s drug and alcohol testing requirements.
9. Overtime and night shifts as required.

Physical Requirements

1. Climb onto and up and down the vehicle multiple times daily.
2. Sit in the vehicle and operate for extended periods.
3. Handle vibration, noise, and manual tasks such as sweeping/shoveling debris.
4. Regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds.

Minimum Experience

1. Valid NYS driver’s license - CDL B.
2. Experience operating dump trucks.
3. OSHA 10 (Construction).

1. Assist in preventative maintenance to ensure safety.
2. Follow all health and safety policies.
3. Wear and maintain PPE as required.
