Job summary

Crown Battery Manufacturing Co in Cromwell, CT is seeking a Class B Truck Driver to join our team. This full-time role involves delivering batteries per a fixed weekly schedule, loading and unloading at stops, and ensuring safe, compliant operations.

You will use the ELD system, maintain the truck, and report any issues to the Cromwell office. Qualified candidates have a CDL Class B, Hazmat endorsement, knowledge of DOT regulations, and the ability to lift or move loads with forklift/pallet jack

Qualifications

18+ years of age
High school diploma or GED or equivalent
Hazmat training or be willing to obtain
Safety training completed
Forklift and pallet jack experience
Valid CDL Class B and endorsements as noted

Responsibilities

Deliver batteries on a pre-established weekly schedule in a timely and safe manner.
Load trucks for stops and assist in unloading deliveries.
Pick up and process returned products; mark and store appropriately.
Ensure loads are secure and comply with weight distribution and DOT HAZMAT guidelines.
Report violations, fines, or accidents to the Cromwell office immediately.
Keep truck and cargo area clean and organized.
Use ELD for daily logs and perform pre/post-trip inspections.
